The Economic Growth Business Incubator (EGBI) is a small non-profit that provides emerging and existing businesses led primarily by historically economically disadvantaged community members of the Greater Austin area the tools to establish and grow their business through education, business plan assistance, and consulting.
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented part-time Creative Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing our brand by creating visually compelling designs for print and digital media and maintaining engaging and up-to-date website content. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for design, creativity, and an eye for detail who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Tasks include
- Graphic Design: Design high-quality graphics for print and digital materials, including flyers, social media, newsletters, and websites. Develop branding materials that align with the organization’s vision and messaging.
- Website Content Updates: Maintain and update website content, ensuring information is accurate, visually appealing, and on-brand. Collaborate with team members to implement design changes and optimize the user experience.
- Digital Media Creation: Create engaging visual content for social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels. Design banners, icons, and other assets for use across digital media.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to the organization’s branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms and materials.
- Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with marketing, communications, and other teams to conceptualize and execute design projects. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and solutions.
- File Management: Maintain organized files and archives of design work for easy access and reference. Prepare final production files for print and digital distribution as needed.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Mastery in Canva
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Familiarity with Eventbrite
- Some background on Divi Template is a plus
- Bilingual, English and Spanish is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Able to work under limited supervision and manage time effectively
