Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate skills in environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance and establish procedures for maintaining buildings and facilities. Students will also learn how to maintain professional relationships, communicate effectively, process timely work orders, and learn basic skills in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, painting, and interior finishes.
Graduates who pass the CAM-T exam will initially receive a provisional certification and upgrade to a full credential following 12 months of employment. Building maintenance job opportunities include working at apartment complexes and other types of multi-family housing units.
