Position Overview

The Technical Support Specialist Apprenticeship is an entry-level IT role designed to provide hands-on experience and training while being employed with enChoice. Participants will receive the certifications and technical skills needed to succeed in the field of IT support. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kick-start their technology careers in a structured learning environment with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Typical Day & Duties

As a Technical Support Specialist Apprentice, you will gain practical experience in various IT support functions. Your daily activities may include:

  • Receiving weekly objectives from mentors, tailored to your skill development
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Providing technical support via phone, email, and in-person assistance
  • Installing and updating software applications
  • Managing user accounts and permissions in Active Directory or similar systems
  • Assisting with cybersecurity best practices and system security protocols
  • Documenting technical issues and solutions for future reference
  • Participating in team projects, customer meetings, and planning sessions
  • Engaging in focused problem-solving and independent learning
  • Receiving continuous feedback and guidance from mentors to enhance skills
